As some of you may or not already know, Thunderwalkers has officially decided to put WoW raiding on hold indefinitely. We've had a great run on the Drak'Thul server, however all good things eventually come to an end. Over the past year many of our core members have lost interest in the game, including myself. Some have taken a hiatus, others have played on a more casual basis and the rest have remained active only to struggle keeping an active raid group. Drak'Thul has never been the mecca of raiding or anything, but it was our home and we leave behind some great memories and friends. Our remaining active players have gone ahead and transferred to another server to continue raiding with some old friends from previous servers. From what I understand, they have already made significant advances in progression after the first night of raiding. We wish them all success.
Although you may run into a few old TW members on occasion, we are officially done with raiding on Drak'Thul as a core group. Despite us being officially retired from WoW as a guild, ThunderWalkers will remain an active gaming community and many of our core members have agreed to reunite for the release of Biowares upcoming Star Wars MMORPG. The game looks great and we hope to make a major impact in it once it's released.
Once again, we would like to thank everyone that made this server enjoyable for us over the past 3 years. When we first transferred over to Drak'Thul ( before the release of the Burning Crusades Expansion) we were a small group of players left over from our glory days in Everquest. We made many friends and enemies along the way. Despite being small, we had some decent skill and were fortunate to recruited some quality players that helped make our guild a success. We went from being a small group of friends that cleared Karazhan for fun, to one of the most powerful and successful guilds in Drak'Thuls history. We can walk away feeling proud of our in game accomplishments, but most of all, we've remained a great group of friends throughout the years.
A big thanks to everyone that hung in there with us through the good and the bad times. A big FU to those that bailed on us when times were rough.
See you in Star Wars: The Old Republic. http://www.swtor.com/ We'll be revamping this website in the upcoming months to reflect our anticipation of the SWTOR release. We'll also be modifying our recruitment policy prior to the SWTOR release. Let's hope that it doesn't blow like every other recent MMORPG that's been released in the last 5 years. Had Sony not introduced the NGE, some of us would probably still be playing Star Wars Galaxies. Let's hope that Bioware has learned from Sony's mistakes and gives us a quality product.
For the record, we will be going to the Darkside.
In the meantime, you may see some of us giving the new Star Trek game a shot as a way to keep us busy.
Check the forums for more information.
And we leave you all with this.....
Update: 2/4/2009 The new Star Trek game sucked

"I totally agree with your statement but I don't think blizzard cares. I've always wonderd how come wild bears can parry my attacks but a shapeshifted druid can't figure out how to do it."
Ah I miss things when I'm always gone. Anyways my time in TW has always been fun though WoW has been a vicious cycle of many of us old and new.
@ xfile, hope to give Aion and other games more shots when I get back sometime fully mid January or Early February (March in the latest). I really want to laze around and play games and stuff, but November and December are always the busiest and it sucks. Well that's life
im sorry to hear that TW time in wow is not more altho my time in teh guild was short i quite enjoyed it once im done class id love to join ya guys once again in whatever mmo you end up with
We'll be announcing future MMO plans as we get closer to release dates. Like Goth said, it all depends on how beta testing and the releases of those two titles play out. I don't see anything else on the horizon that's got much of a chance of being successful, but I could be wrong.

Ive been with TW for a short time but that was not time wasted! It is true that all good things must come to an end, this teaches us to appreciate and enjoy what we have in the now. Now that TW is gone as did my former guild Nihil, I learned that all the past scuffles and fussing/fighting was not worth any of it. All the friends I've made along the way are still to this day my friends and we touch ground even outside this game; more importantly I realized that all the enemies I've made were of my own doing and not necessary. That is what I take from all the experiences.
I bid you all the best former TW! I hope and pray to see you all around =)

Yeah, just like the Fallen Earth that you got me to buy.
I've actually been playing that, it's pretty good.
