Joining ThunderWalkers
The application process to ThunderWalkers is divided into four parts.
Application
In order to join TW, one must fill out an application here on our site. When filling out the application make sure to select Raider or Friends and Family so that you are applying for the correct position. People considering applying as F&F should be aware that they are unable to further their ThunderWalker status to Raiding Member by own choice. The decision to start the app process to progress to Raiding Member will be made solely at the discretion of the officer corps. Be honest on your application, and be thorough; make sure all the fields are answered. This application will form our first impressions of you, and will determine whether or not you advance to the second stage.
Interview
Within a few days of receiving your application, an Officer or designated guild member will talk to you to find out more about you if you are being considered. This will consist of both serious questions and casual conversation, we just want to get a feel for what kind of person you are, the nature of your philosophy towards the game, and if you'd fit into the guild well,
Guilded Portion - "Applicant Status"
During this stage that last approx. 4 weeks you will be given a temporary guild invite. With this you will have access to our guild chat and more priority for raid position. You will also have access to our forums and will be able to communicate with us that way. This phase is used to see what your full potential is and if you fit into ThunderWalkers. Hopefully by the end of this phase you will become a full member of ThunderWalkers.
Applicant status DKP and Loot Policy
During the applicant status portion of your application you will be able to earn DKP as if you were a regular member. However you will not be given any loot priority over full members. Depending on raid composition you may or may not always be granted a raid slot and are expected to be "on call" during organized raid times. In the event that a spot opens up for you to step up and fill in to replace a full member. Once you are promoted to full membership status you will be eligible to spend your DKP as you see fit and be rewarded for your commitment and dedication towards our guild.
This may sound like lots but believe me, in all my experiences of raiding this is one of the fairest methods of introducing new members into our guild and it's loot system. It ensures we get the RIGHT people on board that are looking at the big picture and not just instant loot gratification.
Our goal is to put together the most cohesive Horde guild on the server. Push the limits of the game content and most of all have fun in the process. We are a Family, many of us have been playing games together for more than 10 years. |
